Original German WWII Air Raid Street Warden "Strassen-Erlaubnis" Armband with Faded Depot Stamp

Original Item: Only One Available. This is very nice German WWII Air Raid Street Warden Strassen-Erlaubnis (Permitted on Roads) armband (Ärmelbinde), made from what we believe is white machine woven cotton. This pattern of armband was often used in the occupied territories such as the Netherlands during air raids, and were worn by street wardens whose responsibility was to make sure that all the lights on that block were turned out. It has a large STRASSEN - ERLAUBNIS printed on the side, and there is a faded inspection / depot stamp, which was unfortunately stamped over part of the printing, so we cannot read it. There is also a stamp on the interior, which could read "Sudetenland" or something similar. The armband measures approximately 14 1/2" x 4 3/4", and is sewn together in the back.
The armband is in good service worn condition, showing staining and age toning to the white material. There is what looks to be residue from tape on the back, and there are some tiny holes in the armband where it was attached. This is definitely not an armband that spent its live in a depot, and saw real service wear.
