  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice set of Pre or Early WWII 6x24 Binoculars, made by the legendary firm of Carl Zeiss in Jena, in Thuringia, Germany. This example is fully functional, with mostly clear optics, and a great service worn look. It comes in its original bakelite carry case with a carry strap. It is faintly marked as follows on the base of the left barrel:

    CARL ZEISS
    JENA

    And on the right barrel:

    D.F. 6x24
    845707

This denotes manufacture by Carl Zeiss, Jena, Militärabteilung, a well known maker of optics during both World War I and World War II. Due to the actual logo being present, these pre-date 1940 when letter codes began to be used. The binoculars are in good shape but there is heavy finish loss. The original neck strap and eyepiece cover is retained, rare to see. The included Bakelite carry case is in fair condition with a carry strap, though we don’t know if it’s original. The case itself is not maker-marked, but one of the belt loop straps has a Waffenamt stamp, WaA14.

Overall a very nice example of the classic eye piece for German infantry officers during WWII!
