Original German WWII 1941 dated Police Belt with Maker Marked Pebbled Aluminum NCO Buckle

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice WWII German Polizei (Police) NCO's Pebbled Aluminum Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß) with correct leather belt. It is embossed with a central swas (hook cross), with a wreath around it bearing the motto Gott mit uns (God with us). Nice single piece aluminum construction box buckle with a pebbled background. The buckle is in very good condition, with all the pebbling in good condition, and most of the details in the wreath still present. The buckle has a maker mark on the back of a "W" or two "V" letters inside a rectangle, which we have unfortunately not able do identify.

The belt itself measures about 37” when fully extended, however it is somewhat stiff and greasy. The leather is solid, with no tears or major cracks, but definitely shows deterioration from age. The black lack leather indicates the belt was for the Ordnungspolizei (Order Police), the Schutzpolizei (Protection Police), or the Gemeindepolizei (Local Municipal Police), personnel. The leather tab by the end clip is dated 1941 under a maker mark, which is unfortunately unclear.

Overall a great example of a hard to find WW2 German Belt.
