Original German WWII 10.5cm leFH 18 Light Field Howitzer Propellent Crate with Steel Canisters - Dated 1944

Original Items: Only One Set Available. As seen in the HBO series BAND OF BROTHERS, the 10.5 cm leFH 18 was the standard divisional field howitzer used by the Wehrmacht during the Second World War. It was designed and developed by Rheinmetall in 1929-30 and entered service with the Wehrmacht in 1935. Generally it did not equip independent artillery battalions until after the Battle of Stalingrad in 1943.
This is a lovely 10.5cm leFH 18 Light Field Howitzer propellant crate, which contains four lidded steel cans fully marked that carried the propellants. All four canisters are retained, although all are now empty. The crate measures roughly 10½ x 14½ x 14½” and is marked on the lid:

The canisters have similar labels on the top as is on the interior lid. The canisters measure 9” tall and 6½” in diameter.
