The classic work by J.ANTHONY CARTER, GERMAN BAYONETS, VOLUME THREE published in 1992 is the complete work covering all types of WWI Ersatz bayonets and cherished by bayonet collectors everywhere.


    Anthony Carter's Reference EB42A appearing on Pages 104-105 is the model we offer here. Heavy Stamped steel two-piece ribbed hilt with split muzzle ring, with a 14 inch "butcher" style sawback fullered blade, which bears imperial proofs on the spine.  Comes complete with a correct all steel ribbed "butcher" scabbard, though the frog button is missing.


    J. Anthony Carter died in 2001 but his four volume work is acknowledged as the supreme reference work on the subject most especially the Ersatz Volume (No.3) which was his great passion throughout his lifetime.
