Original Item: Only One Available. This is the full 12-inch length bladed model of Ersatz bayonet that was issued with a very rare brass hilt. Ersatz Bayonets were considered emergency issue and were easy to manufacture but were typically all steel. There were many models, however those with brass hilts are by far the hardest to find and the most sought after in the collector’s market. This bayonet comes with the original full length maker marked (FAG) all steel scabbard.
Please note that due to the age the bayonet lug button has become frozen and will take some TLC in order to free allowing it to attach to a rifle.
