This is an all steel Ersatz version of the M-98/05 Butcher Saw Back Bayonet. This example is found on pages 104-109 of J.Anthony Carter's classic work "GERMAN BAYONETS" Volume 3 published in 1992.
Recently acquired in a collection of bayonets that had been amassed over the last 30-40 years. In bright polished steel condition together with standard butcher bayonet steel black painted scabbard and original leather belt frog. A very hard bayonet to find already 100+ years old.
