Original Item: Only One Available. This is an excellent condition original WW1 Commemorative War Cross for Veterans. The Cross was instituted after the end of WW1 by the Prussian Veteran's Association. With the inscriptions Preussens Tapferen Kriegern (To Prussia's Brave Warriors"), Welt Krieg 1914 1918 (WW1) and Preussisches Kriegs Erinnerungs Kreuz (Prussian Commemorative War Cross). This is an unofficial award of the period of the Weimar Republic and just like the majority of such awards of the period, it had to be privately purchased by the recipient.
Includes original parade mounted ribbon (quite rare for this medal as the original ribbon was very similar to the Iron Cross for non Combatants and the veterans preferred to change it with the ribbon for the Iron Cross for Combatants).
Offered in in very good condition, these are very difficult to find.
