Original German WWI Brass Hilt Ersatz Bayonet with 12 Inch Blade & Scabbard

Original Item: Only One Available. This is the full 12" length blade model of Ersatz bayonet that was issued with the very rare Brass Hilt. Ersatz Bayonets were considered "emergency" issue and were easy to manufacture and usually all steel. There were many models, however, and those with brass hilts are by far the hardest to find and therefore the most sought after.
The brass hilt on this example bears the standard "Muzzle Horn" partial muzzle ring, and is secured by two rivets. It does not have the reinforced press-button aperature of the Carter Type EB22, but is otherwise identical.
Blade bears German imperial proof marks on back spine. This bayonet comes with the original full length all steel scabbard. Ready to display!
