It bears a serial number of 4997 and is a fascinating piece of kit. The Lower section has a folding speaker cup and is marked "UNTER" for lower, not that one could imagine a soldier putting that end to his ear.
The WW1 earpiece has a large donut shaped felt cushion and also has all the manufacturer and identification nomenclature repeated around the outer edge. The rear has a large "hanging ring" for when not in use. Comes complete with wire and two plugs, all you need is the correct switchboard or field box. Despite its fine condition we have no idea if this is still operational, offered in "as is" condition.
This is a truly interesting and very scarce piece of original German World War One trench warfare equipment that you won’t find anywhere else!
