Original German Pre-WWII O&M Haußer Tinplate Litho Wehrmacht Car with Towed Searchlight Model Toy with Adjustable Light & Crew

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a lovely German wind up toy Wehrmacht car with a towed searchlight from the WWII period, made by O&M Haußer from tinplate steel. They made a whole variety of these well made trucks, and this example has a lovely lithograph camouflage paint job, which is very well retained. The car with the searchlight attached measures 15 3/4 x 3 ½ x 4 1/2, and features 8 wheels, with a searchlight mounted to the towed vehicle.
As with many German toys of the time, it actually is functional, with a real flashlight bulb in the searchlight, which would be powered by a battery in the compartment underneath. There is no battery left underneath, and the wiring appears gone. There is a small box to the front of the searchlight which retains most of the wiring, but we are not sure if it could be made functional again.
The back wheels on the car are attached to some type of winding mechanism, wound up using a square rod on the lower left side of the truck. We unfortunately do not have the winding key, nor do we have the proper battery to test the searchlight.
