Original Item: Only One Available. This is a lovely German toy Wehrmacht Horsch Artillery Truck with a Integral Searchlight (broken) from the WWII period, made by O&M Haußer from tinplate steel. They made a whole variety of these well made trucks. At the back is a great functional Gulashkanone, and the set comes with four Lineol / Elastolin soldiers. The searchlight is broken off of the truck but sits well on the truck for display.
There is no glass in the windshields if there ever was. There is a soldier sitting in each of the two front seats. There is cracking in the glass of the searchlight and it no longer functions.
The Gulashkanone does not actually hook up to the back of the searchlight but sits well for display. The German “Gulaschkanone” was present throughout WW1 and WW2. These simple wood burning stoves mounted on a caisson like wagon frame could feed hundreds of men hot food even while on the march. They were found throughout the branches of the German Army including Artillery, and Anti-Tank units.
The doors all still function and the funnel is retractable. There are two additional standing soldiers, one Elastolin and one Lineol. All pieces are in rough but displayable condition.
Ready to display.
