  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a lovely Pre WWII German NSDAP Event Badge or Tinnie, one of many that they produced during the early days after they took over the government. At the time their primary goal was solidifying power and also indoctrinating the public, which resulted in numerous events for all types of occasions. This round brass tinnie is marked with an early style Reichsadler National Eagle over NSDAP, and around the edges has the text KREISTAG GREIZ 12-13 · 5 · 1934., which translates to "District Day Greiz, May 12-13 1934. This is an area in the far west of Germany in Thuringia near the border with France.

The badge is in great shape and would make a great addition to any collection.

"Tinnies" (Veranstaltungsabzeichen - Event Badge) are small commemorative pins or medals, acquired when one attended a specific event held in Germany. They were often made of thin stamped metal, bakelite, or even pressed paper. Many of these were given out as part of the WHW (Winterhilfswerk - Winter Help Work) Organization, which often involved Germans traveling quite a bit to help out the war effort.
