  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a lovely Pre-WWII H.Dv.240 Schießvorschrift für Gewehr (Karabiner), leichtes Maschinengewehr, Pistole ufw. (Firing regulations for rifle (carbine), light machine gun, pistol, etc.) manual, often shortened to (Schv.f.Gew.), 1937 edition. The book contains complete instructions on the training program for the various small arms used by the German Army. It even has pages later on for record keeping during the training period, and this example is NAMED on the inside of the front cover! Overall condition is very nice, with the cover completely intact, though it does show some wear. It measures 4 3/8"W x 7 1/4"H, and all of the pages are intact, even the fold out ones.

Between the pages of the book we also found a copy of  Zum Einlegen in die H. Dv. 240 - Merkblatt für Fefechtswerfen mit scharfen handgranate vom 11. September 1939 (For insertion into H. Dv. 240 - Leaflet on combat throwing with live hand grenades, dated 11 September 1939), a leaflet describing the proper use of hand grenades.

These training manuals for the Heer Army give a great view into the re-militarization of Germany during the NSDAP period. Originally written years before the war, these books continued to be used as reference materials well into WWII. Ready to research and display!
