Original German Pre-WWII Army Heer EM/NCO Belt with Pebbled Aluminum Buckle by Richard Sieper & Söhne dated 1936

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice WWII German Wehrmacht (Heer) Aluminum EM/NCO's Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß) with an original black finished Preßstoff (Pressed Fabric or Material) faux leather belt. The buckle is embossed with the Heer motto GOTT MIT UNS ("God (is) with us") around the Wehrmacht Reichsadler (State Eagle). Nice aluminum construction box buckle with a pebbled background. The buckle is in good condition, and is a single piece cast and crimped example. It does show some light surface wear, common due to the softer aluminum alloy.

This buckle was originally entirely painted standard Heer gray, and the front side of the buckle still retains a good amount, where most examples we see are almost devoid of paint on the front. The rear has almost complete paint, except on the hook. The buckle itself is marked R S & S on the back, and it still retains the Pre-1941 leather tab, which is fully marked, though the bottom line is faintly struck:

* 1936 *

The leather belt is in good condition, and measures about 38” when fully extended. It is also marked 90 on the buckle end, for 92cm (35.4in), so it my have stretched over time. As with most Preßstoff, it has become a bit stiff over the years, so it stays coiled up quite nicely. It could be straightened out but we definitely recommend not trying to force it.

Overall condition is very good with an exception eye appeal. Ready to display!
