Original German Pre-WWII Army Heer EM/NCO Belt with Pebbled Aluminum Buckle by Linden & Funke - dated 1937

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice service worn Pre-WWII German Wehrmacht (Heer) Aluminum EM/NCO's Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß) with an original black finished leather belt. The buckle is embossed with the Heer motto GOTT MIT UNS ("God (is) with us") around the Wehrmacht Reichsadler (State Eagle). Nice aluminum construction box buckle with a pebbled background. The buckle is in good condition, and is a single piece injection molded and crimped example. It does show some surface wear, common due to the softer aluminum alloy.

This buckle was originally entirely painted standard early war Heer green, and while this is almost completely gone on the front, the rear still still shows a good amount. The back of the buckle by the clip hook shows a faint L. u. F. for Linden und Funke of Iserlohn, Germany. It also still retains the Pre-1941 leather tab, though the stitching is almost rotted out. However there is still a relatively relatively clear maker marking inside a double oval:

The leather belt is in very nice "salty" used condition, with much of the black finish on the outside worn away. It also definitely is in delicate condition, and is almost torn through about 10 inches from the clip end. It also is a version made without the "tab" for length adjustment, and instead has the holes made directly through the leather of the belt. It measures about 41” when fully extended. It is also marked 105 on the buckle end, for 105cm (41.33in), and doesn't seem to have stretched much over the years.

Overall condition is very good with an exception eye appeal due to the wonderful used patina! Ready to display!
