Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice Pre-WWII Zeppelin-Weltfahrten (Zeppelin World Tour) softcover "cigarette card" album. These were purchased without the included pictures, which were then received along with packs of cigarettes. They served a dual purpose of helping to stiffen the packaging, as well as being collectible items. The album is approximately 50 pages long, in German, and features well over 100 black and white "cigarette card" pictures, glued to their correct locations on the various pages (a few have become detached but are included). It measures approximately 13 1/4"W x 9 3/8"H x 3/4", and is offered in very good condition, showing some staining to the exterior.
This book is basically a history book of flight in Germany, culminating with the creation of LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin and other Zeppelin rigid airships produced by Luftschiffbau Zeppelin during the early 20th century. It has design schematics, pictures, historical descriptions, and more on the air ships. It also has picture and details describing the world tours taken by the vessel.
A great piece of historical reference material, as long as you can read German!
