Item Description
Original Item. Only One Available. This is a nice post-WWII German flare pistol, model LP4-56, designed by Erma. This example is marked on the side of the barrel with the squirrel logo of Carl Eickhorn, one of the most prolific makers in German history. It is maker marked on the top of the barrel with the ERMA logo next to:
ERMA-WERKE
B. Geipel G.m.b.H.
München-Dachau
The side of the barrel reads:
Mod. LP4-56 Kal.4
1095-12-1200769
The other side of the barrel is marked:
EICKHORN (SQUIRREL)
XI 1957 UE419
This example has matching serial numbers across the parts we could check. We believe Eickhorn likely manufactured the barrel of the pistol, with ERMA having manufactured the rest.
A very nice example, ready for further research and display.
