Original Item: Only One Available. The 3.7 cm Flak 18/36/37/43 was a series of anti-aircraft cannon produced by Germany that saw widespread service in the Second World War. The cannon was fully automatic and effective against aircraft flying at altitudes up to 4,200 m. The cannon was produced in both towed and self-propelled versions. Having a flexible doctrine, the Germans used their anti-aircraft pieces in ground support roles as well; 37 mm caliber guns were no exception to that.
This is an outstanding and scarce example of the anti-aircraft aiming scope for the 3.7cm Flak 37. This example retains the scarce rubber eyepiece which shows some cracking of the material but is still solid. The optics are great, with the complex reticle still in good order.
The side of the mount is stamped on one side 3,7cm 37, and on the other side:

Z.F. 3x8° Flak
“kjj” denotes manufacture by Askania Werk AG, Berlin-Friedenau. 4725 is the serial number, and below that is the official designation of the sight.
One of the two screws that holds the eyepiece in place is missing, but it still displays well and attaches to the other screw for support. The scope measures roughly 12 ¾” long with the rubber eyepiece attached.
