Original Items. Only One Lot Available. This is a tremendous lot for a beginner collector, three original WWI steel combat helmets, for the German, French, and U.S. Armies. Each helmet is a shell, and will work great as a representative piece from its respective country.
The helmets include:
- German WWI M1916 Stahlhelm in relic condition with some damage to the back. The shell appears to have been repainted. It is Size 62-64 due to the stepped ventilation lugs.
- French M1915 Adrian Helmet - Infantry - There are four holes across the shell which were likely meant to help mount the helmet. The front visor is disconnected from the shell but the paint is well-retained across the exterior. The liner and chinstrap are absent.
- U.S. British-Made Mk. I Doughboy Helmet, not painted but named and identified underneath the rim to L. Bell, Machine Gun Company, 112th Infantry Regiment, 29th Division. The split liner pins identify this as a British-made helmet. Good opportunity for research.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a young collector to get some WWI helmets for their display! Comes ready for further research and display.
