Original Items: Only One Set Available. This is a very nice collection of German Insignia & Awards, which was brought back from the European theater by a USGI after WWII. It includes some a wide variety of medals and insignia, spanning a time period from the late 19th century up through WWII. It includes THREE different Iron Cross 2nd Class awards, an armband, and so much more! This is fantastic collector's set, with loads of research potential, offered at a great price! Just perfect for a collector starting to get into German Militaria.
This lovely set includes:
- One Imperial German Franco-Prussian War Era Iron Cross 2nd Class 1870 (Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse 1870) award. It is marked on the front with a W, for the first German Emperor, Wilhelm I (the Great), who reigned 1870 to 1888. It does not have the ribbon, and the top hanger ring has broken off with part of the border.
- One Imperial German WWI Iron Cross 2nd Class 1914 (Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse 1914) award with ribbon.
- One German WWII Iron Cross 2nd Class 1939 (Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse 1939) award with a very long Tri-color ribbon.
- Five Small German WWII Bevo Embroidered National Eagle Cap Insignia.
- One Large German WWII Bevo Embroidered National Eagle Cap Insignia.
- One German WWII Embroidered National Eagle insignia, branch unknown.
- Three Metal Tri-Color Cockades with Red Felt Inserts
