Original French WWI Trench Art Engraved 75mm Brass Artillery Shell dated 1914

Original Item: One of a Kind. Standing 12 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" wide this is the classic French WW1 Artillery Casing in brass of the classic French 75 mm artillery piece.
The outer surface has been fully engraved with what looks like a Crown over a rampant Lion surrounded by foliage. The Shell Case primer is dated with its manufacture date of 1914, however the Trench Art is prominently dated "1917" over a banner engraved in large letters:-

Basically stating the Allied union makes the Power. Most impressive and made by probably a French or Belgian Infantry man while waiting eternally in the trenches.
