Original French WWI Rare Experimental Fragmentation Grenade - Inert

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice French WWI experimental grenade, offered in good condition. This example is offered totally inert with a deactivated internal fuse and all explosives removed per BATF specifications.
This grenade is definitely an interesting example, and looks to be designed for use with a trip wire. The explosives cavity is relatively small, as is the shape. We assume this was intended to cause close range damage, and the vents on the top suggest that it may have had a signaling function as well. Definitely lots of research potential in this grenade!
