Original French WWI Era Small Bust of Napoleon Bonaparte

This is a lovely small brass bust of Napoleon Bonaparte, a French military officer and statesman who rose to prominence during the French Revolution and led a series of successful campaigns across Europe during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars from 1796 to 1815. He was the leader of the French Republic as First Consul from 1799 to 1804, then of the French Empire as Emperor of the French from 1804 to 1814, and briefly again in 1815.
The bust measures roughly 6” tall and 3½” wide. It depicts Napoleon in his “Bicorne” Chapeau, which he is iconically known for, with an N surrounded by wreaths below him. The bottom is lined with red felt. A very nice example of a small bust of one of the most famous generals in history. A great display piece for a desk. Comes ready for further research and display.
