Original Item. Only One Available. This is a lovely small bronze statue of Napoleon Bonaparte, a French military officer and statesman who rose to prominence during the French Revolution and led a series of successful campaigns across Europe during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars from 1796 to 1815. He was the leader of the French Republic as First Consul from 1799 to 1804, then of the French Empire as Emperor of the French from 1804 to 1814, and briefly again in 1815.
The statue measures roughly 9½” tall and is signed on the back of the base BARBIOINI, a sculptor we have been unable to identify. The name is very crudely engraved, so this is a great research project. Napoleon is standing with his left hand in his coat as he is often depicted, holding what is likely a spyglass in his other hand.
A very nice example of a small bust of one of the most famous generals in history. A great display piece for a desk. Comes ready for further research and display.
