Original Item: Only One Available. This is a wonderful example of a “UNADIF” association flag from 1950. The National Federation of Deportees and Internees of the Resistance, FNDIR , association of people, created in June 1945, the National Union of Associations of Deportees, Internees and Families of the Disappeared, UNADIF , group of Associations, founded in June 1950, constitute a movement which draws its unity from the same source of inspiration: the Resistance, born of the Appeal of General de Gaulle, from June 18, 1940.
The flag is in wonderful condition and shows many years of faithful use/display. This 35” x 45” gold fringed flag is the standard tricolor of France, with the association’s added text and insignia present. The flag reads as ASSOCIATION DEPORTES INTERNES FAMILIES DE DISPARUS DU TARN which translates to “Association of Internees, Deportees and Families of the Disappeared of Tarn”. Tarn is a department in the Occitania region in Southern France. The flagpole and topper are in wonderful, solid condition and are presented without any extensive damage. The flag does have material loss, fading, slight tearing and staining, but nothing that subtracts from the beauty of it. The flagpole measures about 95 inches when assembled, but breaks down to 57 and 38 inch long sections.
