Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This fine little gun started life as a French Flintlock Carbine. It features very attractive all brass mounts and the wood stock is stamped TULLE (famous French Arsenal).
It was converted to a percussion ignition system in the 1830s at which time all lock markings were removed. The lock plate shows the tell tale plugged screw holes for the Frizzen screw and the Frizzen spring screw as well as the steel patch inserted where the powder pan had been.
Features a 27 inch barrel and is 42 inches in overall length, the only detraction being the hammer screw is a slightly too small replacement, easily remedied, a scarce French Naval carbine.
