Original Item: Only One Available. After the Second World War, the French Army began rebuilding and created a new uniform. This uniform included a "Lizard Pattern" camouflage, which was used to make uniforms for all different kinds of soldiers. The design of the smock and the camouflage pattern were influenced by the American jump smocks and British Denison smocks worn during WW2.
This is a nice M-1947 Lizard Camouflage uniform set with a jacket and trousers. The jacket has a tag under the collar with 22, a size, and an inscribed name. The five-button front closure retains all buttons, as do the pockets. There are gold stripes on each shoulder board, denoting rank, either Sous-lieutenant or Lieutenant. It is in great service-worn condition.
The trousers are in similar great condition. The interior has several stamps which may be depot or maker stamps. A good research project.
A nice set, ready for display.
