Original Item: Extremely rare now, these tool sets have never been widely available. The Chassepot rifle had a major impact on European weapons design, just as the Lebel M1886 would have twenty years later. The poilu (French infantryman) kept his rifle in order with this set. It includes an oval, handle-shaped metal case, a double-ended screwdriver blade, and the cutest (smallest) oil bottle you've ever seen.
The case serves as the handle for the screwdriver blade, and the oil bottle closes one end of the handle.
