Original Film Prop IMI Galil ARM From Ellis Props - As Used in Hollywood Film The Delta Force (1986)

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a full scale rubber replica non-firing prop  IMI Galil ARM  as used in the Hollywood film THE DELTA FORCE (1986). This was acquired from the Ellis Props and Graphics liquidation auction. Ellis was the oldest and the largest Prop Houses in the World until it went our of business in the early 2000s. The only issue with it is that the carry handle has been snapped off otherwise it is offered in very good condition.

The vast Ellis collection was acquired beginning in 1908, when a pawn shop, Ellis Mercantile, began renting merchandise to early filmmakers. According to Ellis Props, it began when a studio employee wanted to buy a glass eye. The pawn shop decided to rent it in case the owner returned, and it continued the practice with other items.

The Delta Force is a 1986 action film directed by Menahem Golan that follows the actions of the elite US Special Forces unit under the command of Colonel Nick Alexander (Lee Marvin) and Major Scott McCoy (Chuck Norris) that is sent into Beirut to rescue the passengers aboard an airliner hijacked by Lebanese terrorists. The hijacking plot was loosely based on the real-life 1985 hijacking of TWA Flight 847. This film also marked the final acting role for Lee Marvin. The success of The Delta Force would spawn two sequels, 1990's Delta Force 2: The Colombian Connection and 1991's Delta Force 3: The Killing Game.
