  • Original Item: One of a Kind. This is a substantial Pioneer type short Sword or Hanger, with a massive Saw Back to the blade. It is marked on the ricasso with a large interlocked A.T.R. emblem together with an FDZ Maker's mark and M on the top rib of the blade directly in from of the hand guard. The Hilt is all of brass and fitted with a "Stirrup" hilt single hand guard. The brass pommel is marked :- No. 132 and a heavy proof mark together with the A.T.R. emblem appears on the inside of the cross guard.


    The hanger is 25 inches in over all length, and the massive wide blade is 20 1/2" in length 1 1/2" wide at its broadest point. The blade shows considerable use and old pitting scars however the brass hilt we rate as excellent. An interesting and early Hanger circa 1740. Ready to display!
