Original Early 20th Century German Antler Horn Hunting Knife - Nickel Silver Mounted with Scabbard

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice hunting knife circa 1900, most likely originating from Germany. It is fitted with a “German silver” cross guard with “boar’s head” finials, typical of hunting knives from the area. The hilt is formed from a single deer's antler, fitted to an unmarked bright bowie blade measuring about 7 1/2" in length. The knife's overall length is 14 1/4”, or 15" in its scabbard. The scabbard is typical German style, line embossed leather with German Silver fittings, and an Oak Leaf and Acorn motif on the belt clip.
Condition is very nice, with just a bit of patination on the fittings, and the blade still quite shiny, with only light oxidation. It is also still relatively sharp.
A true gentleman's accessory, most appealing and ready to display!
