The poster is meant to convince Dutch people to work in Germany, featuring some of the benefits of doing so, such as being happy when the entire country was in a state of disarray due to the occupation.
The first poster measures 11 x 15¾” and is in great shape, with the only damage being very minor folding creases. The poster retains its color which is very vibrant. The poster reads:
Jeugd vooraan
Youth at the Front
It is meant to convince younger Dutch people to fight so that the elderly do not have to.
The second poster measures 11¾ x 17¾” and is in great shape, with the only damage being very minor edge folding creases. The poster retains its color which is very vibrant. The poster reads:
DE TROSSEN LOS
HOU ZEE!
VOOR VOLK EN VADERLAND
SLUIT U AAN BIJ DE N.S.B.
CAST THE LINES
KEEP OUT TO SEA!
FOR PEOPLE AND COUNTRY
JOIN THE N.S.B.
The National Socialist Movement in the Netherlands (Nationaal-Socialistische Beweging in Nederland) was a Dutch fascist and later NSDAP political organisation that eventually became a political party. As a parliamentary party participating in legislative elections, the NSB had some success during the 1930s. Under German occupation, it remained the only legal party in the Netherlands during most of the Second World War.
A great pair of posters, ready to frame and display.
