Original Confederate U.S. Civil War Confederate Issue Canvas & Leather Musket Rifle Sling - Extremely Rare

Original Item. Only One Available. This is an extraordinarily scarce piece to find on its own, and one that has been reproduced en masse for decades. This is a Confederate canvas and leather musket / rifle sling, in near complete condition minus the sizing strap being broken at the second hole. The hook is still firmly attached, and the leather cover keeper at the end is still intact with cracking. The construction is entirely correct.
When laid out, the sling measures 32 ½” including the hook. The width is 1 3/16”. The leather is very weak and as shown there is a break in the sizing strap, though the stitching is still strong. It could be repaired with work.
The stitching is correct and the patina of 160+ years is very evident. This is the first example we have ever offered. Ready to display on your Confederate rifle.
