Original Chinese Cold War Inert DFR-89 Portable Single Shot Flamethrower Incendiary Bomb - Rare

Regular price $595.00

Item Description

Original Item. Only One Available. The DFR89 35mm individual incendiary bomb is a newly equipped light incendiary smoke weapon that is carried by individual soldiers, does not occupy the establishment, is temporarily distributed, and is disposable. It has the characteristics of lightness, portability, simple operation, safety and reliability.

Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.

This is a very scarce example of a Cold War era Chinese flamethrower, or as it is properly referred to, an incendiary bomb. Called DFR-89, this handheld flamethrower is 0.65kg in weight and fires a 35mm HE-Frag or incendiary shell with a minimum range of 20 meters and a maximum range of 100m.

The design is a reverse-engineered German DM34, a single-shot, disposable incendiary weapon issued to the German Armed Forces from 1976 to 2001.

The launcher measures 15¾” and still retains its flip-up sight. This example is void of all internal materials.
