Original Chilean Pre WWII German WWI Druckknopf Style Flare Pistol With Period Modified M1892 Lebel Revolver Leather Holster

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a wonderful example of a Chilean Copy of the Imperial German “Druckknopf” style flare pistol. There are no markings visible aside from the 291 number stamped into the left side of the brass frame. Bore measures approximately 26.5mm, so it is most likely for standard WWII style flares.

The pistol measures 7 1/2 inches in overall length, with a 3 1/2 inch barrel, and shows wear from long service, and most likely arsenal reconditioning. It has the large push button on the left side of the frame, the design element that gave this model its name (“push button”). It has a brass frame and steel barrel, and as far as we can see it is fully functional. It breaks open correctly, with a functional extractor, and dry fires as well.

The leather holster is in wonderful condition and is actually a modified M1892 Lebel Revolver holster. The leather is still supple with cracking present and a torn button hole for the securing tab.

A lovely example ready for further research and display.
