  • Original Item: This is a very rare Canadian manufactured British Royal Air Force Type B leather flying helmet. Canadian pilots were sent to flying in the UK during the summer of 1940 and this is the archetypal WW2 RAF flying helmet, as used during the Battle of Britain! A superb condition Air ministry 'B' type flying helmet, complete with clear name as follows:

    DOUGALL

    P 54995

Helmet leather is in outstanding supple, bright condition, showing light honest service use only. All straps and buckles present and in good matching order. Ear cup zips are angled and in good working order, zippers are marked UCF CAN. Interior of ear still retain foam cups fully marked and the lining of the helmet is still soft and excellent with multiple Canadian War Department Broad Arrow Circle C markings. Just amazing!
