Original Item. Only One Available. The Royal Military College of Canada (French: Collège militaire royal du Canada), abbreviated in English as RMC and in French as CMR, is a military academy and, since 1959, a degree-granting university of the Canadian Armed Forces. It was established in 1874 and conducted its first classes on June 1, 1876. Programs are offered at the undergraduate and graduate levels, both on campus as well as through the college's distance learning program via the Division of Continuing Studies.
This is a lovely white parade pith helmet bearing the helmet badge for the ROYAL MILITARY COLLEGE / CANADA. The helmet is in fantastic condition and likely dates to the Post-WWI period.
The helmet comes with its original matched helmet cover, both the interior of the helmet and the cover being stenciled 2153. The helmet spike is removable, it needing to be removed in order to put on the cover. The original chinscale chinstrap is retained with good retention of the leather backing. There is a size sticker on the sweatband, 7 ⅛.
The cover has some fraying but is in great shape. Also included is a Victorian period helmet plate for the same college and a 4 ¾ x 6 ½” photograph of soldiers at the Military College during the Victorian era.
