Original Item: The muzzle cup is an important part of the recoil system of the Vickers Medium Machine Gun. Although the gun is technically called a "recoil-operated" system, in fact a strong boost from the muzzle gasses is critical for dependable operation. This boost is provided by the muzzle cup, screwed onto the muzzle of the gun barrel. It is good to keep one or two spare muzzle cups close by as they were always included in support parts kits for the gun.
