Original Item: Only One Available. This is an excellent example of a British War Office produced poster from the “Back Them Up!” poster series. This poster was printed on a heavy cardboard like material with two hanging eyelets on the top. Posters such as these were used to promote and maintain morale among the civilian population, especially in times of crisis such as during the Battle of Britain and the Blitz.
One of the most dramatic images of the war was issued to boost morale in South America. This stunning image of a dogfight features Hurricanes swooping down to attack a German aircraft formation. The colors are retained quite well and the poster itself is in lovely, aged condition.
