  • Original Item: Only One Available. A Classic British Pith Helmet, introduced and named after the Victorian General Sir Garnet Wolseley, complete with leather sweat band of which a small section is absent. It is otherwise excellent condition considering the age, and has a War Department acceptance broad arrow on the underside of the sweat band in the rear.

The helmet retains its original helmet badge of the ROYAL DRAGOONS who saw action at the great turning point battle of EL ALAMEIN in November 1942. There the British finally turned away the German AFRIKA KORPS (DAK) in Egypt's Western Desert, which marked the beginning of the end for Germany in Africa.

Chin strap absent but in great display condition.
