Original British WWII Royal Air Force Supermarine Spitfire Fighter Radio Control Box BC-602-B with Air Ministry Data Plate

Original Item. Only One Available. The Supermarine Spitfire is a British single-seat fighter aircraft that was used by the Royal Air Force and other Allied countries before, during, and after World War II. It was the only British fighter produced continuously throughout the war. The Spitfire remains popular among enthusiasts. Around 70 remain airworthy, and many more are static exhibits in aviation museums throughout the world.
This is a very scarce BC-602-B Radio Control Box as used in the Spitfire. We were able to find that this box was used by the RAF from early 1944 on the Spitfire to replace the obsolete TR9 and TR1133. It was placed next to the fighter pilot who of course had to do everything himself as it was a one-seater.

All levers on the box still work well, and it’s in really great condition for its age. Note the nocturnal glare blue door on the side that has a small lever to slide it to control the illumination of the LEDs.
