Item Description
Original Item: One Only. This is a substantial Spirits Flask constructed from Pewter with a screw top and a large cover which could double as a drinking vessel. It measures 7" X 4" X 1 1/2" deep. The Screw Cap has a cork liner so the flask was probably intended to carry Brandy on long bombing runs.
The cover itself is engraved with a WWII German Flying Bomb, known as a "V.1 " or "Doodlebug". over an inscription:
CONGRATULATIONS 501 SQN
