  • Only One Set Available: A wonderful brown leather chamois-lined flying helmet with elastic snap chinstrap. In 1944 the internally wired C type flying helmets were issued. These came with wiring loom and earphones already factory installed. This fine example comes without front goggle straps and features an elastic chinstrap and a built in clip on the right side to accommodate the oxygen mask attachment hook. Helmet is approximate size 58/59cm (a nice large size).

Earphones nicely marked with a broad arrow and 10A/13466. All wiring is intact and complete.

Inside the interior right ear relief it is marked in hand written ink:

    LEWIS

The goggles are wonderful, classic Mk8 goggles featuring leather construction with suede lining steel eye brackets encasing clear glass lenses (no cracks or chips) with a classic cotton strap that is elastic and still "stretchy"! The inside of the suede lining is also marked in handwritten ink LEWIS over each eye.

Also included is a very rare oxygen mask complete with hose, electrical plug, straps and marked AM 10A/12570. The mask is unnamed and in excellent condition.

This is a fantastic set, all complete and ready to display. Just perfect for any WW2 aviator collector.
