Original Item: Only One Available. This is a World War Two dated 1940 Tail Drift Sight that was used in British and Canadian fighter bombers to keep on course and adjust for the drift of the aircraft while in flight.

Base plate reads:

Tail Drift Sight, Mark IV, No. 1264/40, Made in England by Ottawa & Toronto Instruments Ltd.

Sight body of periscope reads:

No. 1264/40.

This is a complete set that includes the optical periscope, base plate, two aluminum drift indicators that screw onto the base plate, electrical hookup cord, extra fuse, and wooden carry box. This is a complete, uncommon aircraft component from WWII.
