Original British WWII RAF Bomber Bubble Sextant Mark IXA in Bakelite Wall-mounted Case - dated 1943

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice British Air Ministry marked Royal Air Force Bubble Sextant Mark IXA, in very good condition. These were used for night time navigation about WWII Aircraft, such as the Avro Lancaster Bomber, and others.
It comes complete with its wall-mounted Bakelite Case/ Transit chest, which would be carried on board the plane, and then mounted to the wall by the Navigator station. The side of the sextant is marked:

The top of the wooden case is also marked, indicating that it is the case for the above bubble sextant. This unit is in very good condition, and comes complete with a power adapter for plugging into the bomber's electrical system. There are also two spare light bulbs in a small container, as well as additional items.
The sextant timer still winds up and will run, though we do not know if it is accurate. The optics also appear to be somewhat dirty, but could probably be cleaned. It is marked with SERIAL No.819 2/43 on the top, and also marked with the CROWN / A M mark of the air ministry, next to SERIAL No.9819 / 43 on the rear of the front winder.
Case measures approximately 9 1/2" x 10" x 8 ".
