    from GIEVE, MATTHEWS & SEAGROVE LTD before departing for India.


    This is a fine Officer's grade Pith Helmet in pale tan canvas on cork construction. Complete with original leather sweatband and green lining including the original leather chinstrap.


    Still stored in the original tin transit chest with hinged lid showing brass maker's plate and officer's name with regiment to front. To rear the original paper shipping label is attached showing Lt. Waters name and home address in England.


    An item, not long out of the attic where it has been stored for almost 70 years.
