Original Item: The first version of the Sten sear was machined from solid steel bar stock, consuming many operations on milling machines and considerable time. It didn't take very long before a pressed (stamped) version was developed. It also required several steps to manufacture, but the new steps were quickly done on pressing machines.
A complete Sten collection or display should have one of each type for reference and use.
