Original Item: Only One Available. This is a fantastic example of a rather hard to find British artillery round from WWII. The round itself is for the “6 Pounder” Anti-Tank gun and is offered in “complete” condition without a primer. The round is totally inert and void of any explosive content. It is in total compliance with the current BATF standards governing ordnance.

The Ordnance Quick-Firing 6-pounder 7 cwt, or just 6-pounder, was a British 57 mm gun, serving during the Second World War as a primary anti-tank gun of both the British and United States Army (as the 57 mm Gun M1). It was also used as the main armament for a number of armored fighting vehicles.

Although designed before the start of the war, it did not reach service until the North African Campaign in April 1942. There, it replaced the 2-pounder as an anti-tank gun, allowing the 25-pounder gun-howitzer to revert to its intended artillery role.

The round stands at 23 ¼” tall with a 3 ⅜” base. Most of the original black paint is present on the projectile, with no markings we can see. There is a piece of wood inside of the casing to likely give it weight, and there is a hole punched through both sides as part of the demilling process. The bottom of the round is marked:
