Original Item. Only One Available. This is a lovely British homefront fiber helmet produced during WWII for use by guards and other homefront positions. This example is painted to the front in yellow KENNARDS over F.G. for Factory Guard. Kennards may refer to a prominent pre-war department store in Croydon.
The helmet retains most of its exterior paint, but is a bit warped and misshapen. The underside of the rim is painted F.P. No. 5. The original Mk. II helmet style liner and chinstrap are in fair shape with some pieces loose or missing. The liner is stamped:
